Inktober 52 - 2021 43
Oh, I know more or less exactly what to do with this. I like fuzzy things, meaning fuzzy pets. Well, to be precise, I'm partial to appropriately fuzzy pets. I'll do a fuzzy, four-legged friend along with a sitting person, which I decided might as well be a character I've liked drawing for a while.
Not sure why this picture turned out yellow, my phone might have switched on the night-mode. At least it's not too blurry. Texas' whole wolf-thing works with the fuzzy dog. Technically I could have drawn a wolf directly, but I didn't feel like drawing anything of that size.
I messed with the pose a little since I noticed the dog floating in mid-air, perspective-wise. Now it's... still floating, but I already did the inks, so oh well. It could technically be an elevated-angle perspective, but let's not kid ourselves, this dog is floating a few centimeters. Alternatively it's just such a happy dog that it spontaneously gained levitating abilities.
It's very simple shading this time around, because I think details might unnecessarily clutter it. This time it's really just about the dog. What I did with the shading here however is to force the angle so the dog doesn't levitate too much. I'm pretty happy with the dog, and the pose is pretty alright, considering I tend to favor more dynamic poses with less foreshortening and folding.
At dinner in the evening, a warm bump against the hand
catches your attention. You lean against the slant
of the fuzzy warm companion looking up with expectation,
warm fur and slobbery kisses build a heartwarming sensation.
Once food has been distributed according to both wants,
between two friends, a meal is shared and is deepening the bond.
